Testimonials Loann

“In my mid-twenties back in 1973, and through a freak manuever, I tore a major nerve in my spinal cord, the symptoms of which were misdiagnosed as the onset of M.S. Thus, there was no proper follow-up therapy and the muscles beneath my left shoulder suffered some atrophication. I wasn't fully aware of the damage until my early forties when osteoarthritis began. Over the years it really took hold in my neck and by 1999 I had disintegrating disks in that region and a lot of pain.  The orthopedist's approach was medications, and all they did was trouble my stomach. In spring of 2007 I met LoAnn, and I've been so much better since then from learning the Anat Baniel Method (Feldenkriess theory--can't spell it and don't have time to look it up!)  Doing the exercises is like a form of meditation for me, and I feel my whole skeleton is much better aligned now.  I will always have some pain, but it is infinitely more manageable, and when there are flare-ups, I have many gentle exercise tools to ease the discomfort.  Thanks be to this method and to those who teach and administer it!”   —Claudia Salewske

“As a Physical Therapist for over 25 years, I thought I knew everything about muscles, pain and movement of the body, until I had reason to be treated by Loann Do, OTR/L.

I had suffered for many years with an arthritic hip, but once I was scheduled to have a total hip replacement I was advised by a colleague to see Loann to learn some strategies to assist in my recovery. I have to say it was a real eye-opener for me. The Anat Baniel Method is a totally different approach to everything I had done in the past, and I had to get used to doing less, not more! Loann is extremely accomplished and skilled in recognizing the best techniques for each individual, and very quickly – within 2 sessions- I was walking better and experiencing less pain than I had for a long time. She taught me things to do after the surgery to reduce pain, swelling, and help in getting moving again, and I feel I will benefit from this approach for a long time.

I cannot recommend this treatment or Loann Do highly enough.”

—Stephanie Layhe, PT, Director of Rehab Services

“I have seen the results of working with Loann and Ineke not only with patients but on a personal level as well.  It is a safe but very effective method of gaining flexibility and relieving pain.”  —Olga Gaytan, RPT

Testimonials Jacqueline

“When I first started lessons I could walk only short distances and limped the entire time. Two doctors had concluded that there was nothing wrong with my feet. And now from coming to class for sometime the problem with my feet has virtually disappeared.” — Roger, Monterey

“This is powerful work.  I continue to experience positive changes in my body for several days following each lesson.”  —Maureen, Carmel

“ I feel like I have been given a new lease on life! After several years of dealing with my Parkinson condition, I am observing remarkable changes that I have never felt before. Instead of succumbing to rigidity, I am re-learning to move with ease.” —Marty, Monterey

“I knew that my shoulders were sore and stiff, but I didn't realize how much limitation in my range of motion had occurred. After a few sessions with Jacqueline I felt like a kid again. The muscle tension that I had been holding released like magic and I have experienced an unbelievable increase in flexibility and range of motion. The pain? Gone.” —Kay Kuffner, Carmel
