Loann K. Do is an Occupational Therapist, Registered/Licensed since 1992. She became a Certified Anat Baniel Methodsm (ABM) practitioner, based on the work of Dr. Feldenkrais, in 2003 and has advanced certifications in the Anat Baniel Method for Children, for Anti-Aging, and for High Performers. She graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1992.
Loann specializes in treating children and adults who are experiencing difficult or chronic conditions and neurological impairments: MS, ALS, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, arthritis, joint pain, and undiagnosed conditions. Her extensive work in the medical field has resulted in a unique capability to combine a traditional, behavioral health view with the more holistic total-body approach. (See article on The Whole Body [date?]
Loann has a unique blend of skills as a result of more than 18 years as a therapist, working in rehabilitative settings for individuals with physical and behavioral health challenges. She interweaves these two practice areas to fully address the specific needs of every individual in her care. Loann’s direct, gentle, supportive approach, coupled with a holistic focus, enable her to maximize the function and well-being of each client.
She also holds a regular movement coordination class on Wednesdays for students with chronic pain, post-stroke conditions, Parkinsons, and MS at a local hospital. Each year she organizes a team of patients, family members, and caregivers who participate in the Walk to Defeat ALS. This involvement encourages patients to not only be physically engaged in the walk, but to meet others who are courageously dealing with physical challenges, and to be part of an enjoyable and humanitarian effort to raise funds for an excellent cause.
Loann K. Do practices Occupational Therapy and the Anat Baniel Method at local hospitals and private clinics throughout Santa Cruz County. In addition, she is one of the four core teachers who hold regular Anat Baniel Method weekend workshops in the Santa Cruz and Monterey area.

She came to this work while seeking an approach outside the traditional medical model for her two children; one diagnosed with cerebral palsy and the second child with a learning disability. The ABM for Children, however, helped the brain of her special-needs children form new neural pathways, which, in turn, led to unprecedented outcomes.
